So here’s a short story for you… i play with my wife. We sometimes quest. She gets lost. That is a problem. My solution? A two person mount.
Ever since the mammoth came out i have wanted it for this purpose, and now, even better is the alchemy drake potion. Both of which can be bought with in game gold… a lot of it. The issue here is that i never have enough. I used to, way before the mammoth came out, when 90% of my playtime was on the AH. Since then, i have re-prioritized my “leisure time” so that i actually play the game rather than play the AH. The result, i never accumulate over say 7k gold. That is about to change.

If you have spending habits like mine, consider this… NazScrooge. Simply put, this addon is like a savings account in wow. (My wife laughed at me when i told her i was going to have an in game savings account, to which i respond hey, you married a dork, get used to it.) Once you install the addon the config menu will show up in your interface/addons menu. You can set an amount in percentages to be deposited into the virtual savings account every time you loot gold, be it from mobs or vendors (sell junk) or your mailbox. The gold never disappears, never moves anywhere really, just separates itself from what you view in your bag or titan bar etc. You cannot access it unless you do it on purpose, you cannot even accidentally spend your saved gold on repairs or anything else. There are slash commands (listed on the download page) to make one time moves between your “savings” and your gold on hand, and you can even set it up so that every time you loot gold, it will display for you the amount going to the savings, and how much the savings contains. There is even a goal option so that once you reach a set amount of gold in your savings, it will alert you and stop depositing money into it.

A few notes/disclaimers: Your gold is never moved ANYWHERE, it is always on your character. If you find that you are having problems “finding” your gold, simply log out to the character select screen, disable the addon, and log back in. All of your gold will then be shown in your bags. The most recently updated copy of this addon that i could find was on curse. I downloaded it yesterday, and it seemed to work as intended. If for some reason you cannot get this to work, there is another itteration of the same concept out there called DepositBox2. The most up to date version of DepositBox2 seems to be on WoWinterface at the time of this writing. If you know of other versions of this addon, please feel free to leave the name and location in the comments. Thanks!

OMG this sounds AWESOME. I am the biggest scrooge in game ever just about, so I will have to check it out. I wouldn’t even get my epic mount at 60 in classic because of the cost until my husband made me. ha ha. If you got the mammoth with the vendors, it also comes in handy in some raids and other areas where you can summon it for group repairs.

So far i am loving it. I turned the notifications off so it’s kind of fire and forget for me. I’ll check the amount like once a week and since i’m not paying attention, it is going to be like a bonus. That mammoth and all its uses haunts me lol. Though i do think we’ll see another updated version in cata with lvl 85 drink vendors.

As the author or Nazscrooge, I had a similar need when buying my flying mount in BC.
Glad you are finding Nazscrooge useful.
A few notes: The current up to date version will always be on curse.com. If you or anyone else has feature requests or bugs to report, Curseforge is the place to go.
